Brazil: Caixa to Launch Sports Betting Platform This Semester

Caixa aims to become Brazil’s largest fintech

Focus on technology, social impact, and billion-dollar revenue

The service will be integrated into a super app under development to consolidate Caixa’s digital services, aiming to transform the bank into Brazil’s largest fintech. The new betting arm is expected to generate R$2 billion in 2025 and surpass R$7 billion in 2026, with projections reaching R$35-40 billion in 2027.

Commitment to responsible gaming

Vieira highlighted that Caixa has been in the gaming sector since 1966 through its lotteries, which collected R$26 billion in 2024, with 48% allocated to taxes and social investment. The new platform will invest in responsible gaming campaigns and monitoring tools to encourage balanced participation.
