Brazil Suspends 14 Licensed Betting Sites Over Compliance Failures

Brazil.- 19 August 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) has ordered the immediate suspension of 14 betting websites operated by federally authorised companies following seven precautionary measures imposed through administrative sanctioning proceedings.

The actions primarily relate to failures in reporting information to the federal Sigap monitoring system, shortcomings in responsible gambling controls and issues concerning corporate documentation.

Seven Precautionary Measures

The sanctioning proceedings behind the measures were initiated in August 2025.

Five of the seven precautionary actions concern failures to submit information to the Betting Management System, known as Sigap.

The remaining two relate to insufficient implementation of effective mechanisms for controlling, assessing and monitoring bettors under responsible gambling policies.

14 Websites Suspended

The affected brands are:

  • pixbet.bet.br
  • ganhei.bet.br
  • betdasorte.bet.br
  • zeroum.bet.br
  • sportvip.bet.br
  • energia.bet.br
  • kbet.bet.br
  • mma.bet.br
  • betvip.bet.br
  • papigames.bet.br
  • megaposta.bet.br
  • multibet.bet.br
  • rico.bet.br
  • brx.bet.br

Pixbet Subject to Two Measures

Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas was subjected to two precautionary measures.

One concerns the implementation of effective mechanisms for controlling, assessing and monitoring bettors as part of responsible gambling policies.

The second relates to failures to transmit information to Sigap.

Pixbet, Ganhei and Bet da Sorte are affected by the suspension.

Sigap Reporting Failures

Zeroumbet Digital Platform, operator of Zeroum, Sportvip and Energia, failed to transmit information required for SPA monitoring.

A similar issue was identified at Enseada Serviços e Tecnologia, operator of Kbet, and Select Operations, which operates MMA, Betvip and Papigames.

Nexus International, operator of Megaposta, also failed to submit documentation required by the SPA through Sigap for effective supervision.

Corporate Structure Concerns

The SPA also imposed measures on RR Participações e Intermediações de Negócios, operator of Multibet, Rico and BRX.

According to the regulator, the company failed to provide the documentation required to conduct due diligence on its actual shareholding structure.

This prevented a full assessment of requirements covering legal standing, tax and labour compliance, integrity, financial capacity and technical qualifications.

Customers Can Withdraw Funds

The suspended platforms must limit their operations while the measures remain in force.

Customers will only retain access necessary to withdraw funds held in their betting accounts.

The requirement is intended to safeguard customer balances while regulatory proceedings continue.

Daily Fine for Non-Compliance

Operators that fail to comply with the precautionary measures may face a daily fine of R$200,000.

Brazilian law allows the SPA to impose such measures to protect the public interest during supervisory and sanctioning proceedings.

Role of Sigap

Sigap is one of the SPA’s main supervisory tools.

Through the system, the regulator monitors betting volumes, Gross Gaming Revenue and operators’ compliance with rules governing Brazil’s regulated market.

Accurate and continuous reporting is therefore central to the SPA’s oversight framework.

Next Steps or Impact

The suspensions represent one of the most significant interventions involving already authorised operators since Brazil’s regulated betting market went live.

The affected companies will need to address the deficiencies identified and respond through the relevant administrative proceedings before fully restoring operations.

The action also reinforces that federal authorisation carries continuing obligations relating to compliance, data reporting and responsible gambling controls.
