Influencers Sanctioned: They Must Publish Videos and Attend Courses

Wanda Nara, L-Gante, Flor Vigna, and Romina Uhrig are among 16 influencers required to take part in an official awareness campaign following charges for promoting illegal gambling platforms. The initiative is part of a symbolic reparation agreement under Article 301 bis of Argentina’s Penal Code, led by the Buenos Aires City Prosecutor’s Office for Gambling.
What does the agreement involve?
The sanctioned influencers must:

Record an awareness video about the dangers of illegal gambling and gambling addiction.

Publish the video for three days on their Instagram Stories.

Post content for at least one month on their feed warning about gambling risks.

Attend a mandatory in-person course on addiction prevention, conducted by LOTBA.
“They caused the harm through social media — now they must repair it through the same channel,” said Prosecutor General Juan Bautista Mahiques.
Over 100 influencers under investigation
So far, 110 influencers are under investigation. Of them, 27 have signed agreements, and 16 have already recorded their videos. Notable names include Wanda Nara, L-Gante, Flor Vigna, and Romina Uhrig.

Authorities prioritize awareness over punishment
According to prosecutor Juan Rozas, the goal is to raise public awareness rapidly. However, repeat offenders may face fines, asset seizures, or property embargoes. To date, over 400 illegal betting sites have been blocked.
