LeoVegas Launches Proprietary Sportsbook Platform in Denmark

Denmark.- 16th July 2025 www.zonadeazar.com A New Chapter in LeoVegas’ Expansion Strategy
LeoVegas has officially launched its new proprietary sportsbook in the Danish market, marking a major milestone in the company’s international expansion journey. This release comes after a recent leadership shift, with Mattias Wedar stepping in as CEO following the departure of Co-Founder Gustaf Hagman.
Live Sports Betting Experience Designed for Danish Players
The new standalone sportsbook platform has been designed to deliver a highly individualised experience, tailored specifically to Danish bettors. Although no further rollouts have been confirmed beyond Denmark, this launch is a key part of LeoVegas’ global growth strategy.
The move follows LeoVegas’ membership in the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) in late 2024, signalling a deeper commitment to regulated markets in Europe.
CEO and CPO Share Their Vision
Mattias Wedar, CEO of LeoVegas, stated:
“This investment in our technology and talent empowers us to continue innovating and building a world-class sportsbook. Denmark marks the first milestone in our international rollout plan.”
Adrian Vella, Chief Product and Technology Officer, added:
“This launch is a testament to our innovation and drive to tailor our products for localised markets. We’re excited to see our proprietary sportsbook go live in Denmark.”
Strengthening Existing Partnerships
In parallel, LeoVegas has extended its agreement with Kambi until 2027. The integration of Odds Feed+ onto LeoVegas’ platform strengthens its offering with real-time odds and data.
