Red Rock Resorts Reports $17.7m Third-Quarter Loss Despite Revenue Growth

United States.- 5 November 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Red Rock Resorts, the parent company of Station Casinos and a leading Las Vegas casino operator, has reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $488.7 million, representing year-on-year growth of 2.8%.

However, the group recorded a net loss of $17.7 million, compared with net profit of $76.9 million during the corresponding period in 2025.

The result was primarily influenced by employee share awards introduced to celebrate Station Casinos’ 50th anniversary.

Third-Quarter Financial Performance

Between July and September 2026, Red Rock Resorts reported:

  • Net revenue: $488.7 million, up 2.8%.
  • Net loss: $17.7 million.
  • Third-quarter 2025 net profit: $76.9 million.
  • Adjusted EBITDA: $182.6 million, down 4.3%.
  • Diluted loss per share: $0.17.

Revenue increased by $13.1 million year-on-year, although this growth was insufficient to offset exceptional expenses.

Anniversary Generates $86 Million in Expenses

A major factor behind the quarterly loss was the celebration of Station Casinos’ 50th anniversary.

To commemorate the milestone, Red Rock Resorts awarded company shares to substantially all full-time and part-time employees.

The initiative generated:

  • $79.1 million in share-based compensation expenses.
  • $6.9 million in additional one-off anniversary expenses.

Together, these items amounted to approximately $86 million.

The company explained that the expenses had a significant impact on its quarterly net result.

Las Vegas Operations Maintain Revenue Growth

Las Vegas remained the group’s principal source of revenue.

During the third quarter, local operations generated:

  • Revenue: $479.1 million, an increase of 2.2%.
  • Adjusted EBITDA: $204.6 million, down 2.3%.

The increase in revenue reflects continued commercial activity, although operating profitability was affected by higher expenses.

Station Casinos maintains a significant presence in the market serving Las Vegas residents.

Native American Business Revenue Increases 59%

Red Rock Resorts also reported positive results from activities associated with Native American communities.

Revenue in this segment reached $6.2 million, representing year-on-year growth of 59%.

Adjusted EBITDA increased by 30.8% to $5.1 million.

These activities primarily involve casino management and development services.

Although the segment represents a smaller proportion of total revenue, it made a positive contribution to quarterly growth.

Durango Casino Expansion Progresses

Red Rock Resorts is continuing its growth strategy through the expansion of Durango Casino & Resort in Las Vegas.

The Durango North project will add more than 275,000 square feet of facilities, including:

  • Approximately 400 additional slot machines.
  • A new bingo room.
  • A dedicated keno lounge.
  • A 36-lane bowling centre.

The project’s estimated cost has been revised from $385 million to $430 million.

The company expects the expansion to be completed during the second half of 2027.

Sunset Station Also Undergoing Improvements

Red Rock Resorts is also progressing with improvements at Sunset Station, another of its Nevada properties.

The project involves an investment of approximately $87 million.

The development aims to modernise the facilities and expand the venue’s entertainment offering.

The remaining amenities are expected to be completed by mid-2027.

Both projects form part of the company’s investment strategy in the Las Vegas locals market.

Company Reports $3.7 Billion in Debt

At the end of September, Red Rock Resorts reported:

  • Cash and cash equivalents: $128.3 million.
  • Total outstanding principal debt: approximately $3.7 billion.

The group continues using its financial resources to support operations and fund expansion projects.

Red Rock Resorts also announced a new quarterly dividend for shareholders.

Red Rock Declares $0.26 Dividend

The Board of Directors declared a dividend of $0.26 per Class A common share for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Payment is scheduled for 31 December 2026.

Shareholders of record at the close of 15 December will be eligible to receive the dividend.

The decision maintains the company’s shareholder distribution policy despite the quarterly net loss.

Industry Impact and Next Steps

The results demonstrate moderate revenue growth accompanied by lower profitability due to exceptional expenses associated with Station Casinos’ anniversary.

Red Rock Resorts remains focused on developing its Las Vegas properties, particularly Durango Casino and Sunset Station.

With quarterly revenue of $488.7 million and a net loss of $17.7 million, Red Rock Resorts is absorbing the accounting impact of its employee share awards while maintaining its expansion investments for 2027.

Future results will provide a clearer indication of underlying performance following the anniversary-related expenses.
