Held from September 29 to October 1 at Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and the MEO Arena, the event brought together more than 40,000 professionals, alongside over 800 exhibitors and sponsors and a content agenda featuring more than 600 speakers.
Throughout the three days, operators, suppliers, regulators, affiliates, media representatives, and professionals from different international markets gathered to showcase new developments, create business opportunities, and discuss the main challenges facing the industry.
Innovation and Trends Looking Ahead to 2027
The FIL halls featured a broad showcase of products and solutions related to sports betting, online casino, technology, payments, affiliation, marketing, and new player experiences.
Artificial intelligence, new technological developments, the evolution of regulated markets, acquisition and retention strategies, and the growing relevance of prediction markets were among the topics shaping discussions throughout the Summit.
The 2026 edition also introduced new initiatives, including the Affiliate Leaders Summit, the Global Prediction Markets Forum, and the African Gaming Forum, further expanding the scope of an event that continues to add new verticals and areas of analysis.
Michael Jordan Makes a Historic Appearance in Lisbon
One of the standout moments of SBC Summit 2026 featured Michael Jordan, the global basketball legend, investor, and businessman, who took part in the Super Stage at the MEO Arena.
Jordan shared the stage with Carsten Koerl, Founder and CEO of Sportradar, and Jason Robins, Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman of DraftKings, in a conversation focused on leadership, business, decision-making, and the connection between sports, technology, and gaming.
The presence of one of the most recognizable figures in sports history turned the session into one of the highlights of this edition and brought to the Summit a perspective that went far beyond the industry’s core business.
Charles Oliveira Brings UFC Experience to the Super Stage
Another major sports figure in Lisbon was Charles Oliveira, former UFC Lightweight Champion and one of the leading international names in mixed martial arts.
Known as “Do Bronx,” Oliveira appeared as a SPRIBE Aviator ambassador and brought his experience to the Super Stage, discussing performance under pressure, resilience, preparation for elite competition, and the relationship between athletes, brands, and their audiences.

Beyond the stages and conference sessions, SBC Summit Lisbon once again showed that much of the activity also takes place in the aisles, stands, and networking areas.
Meetings, product presentations, business discussions, and conversations between representatives of different markets shaped an intense agenda from the opening hours of each day.
The event’s international scale once again stood out as one of its key strengths, bringing together professionals linked to gaming, sports betting, payments, marketing, affiliation, technology, and media.
