Swiss Casinos Completes ReelLink Rollout Across All Four Venues

Switzerland.- 14 October 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Swiss Casinos, Switzerland’s largest casino group, has announced the full rollout of ReelLink, its proprietary technology platform designed to bring online gaming content to physical slot machines.

The solution is now operational across all four of the group’s land-based casinos, with 24 machines currently active and a further 17 installations scheduled before the end of 2026.

The project aims to modernise the player experience, accelerate the introduction of new gaming content and reduce dependence on physical hardware when updating casino floors.

ReelLink Goes Live Across Four Casinos

Swiss Casinos has completed the implementation of ReelLink across its four venues:

  • Casino Zurich.
  • Casino Zürichsee, in Pfäffikon.
  • Casino Winterthur.
  • Casino St. Gallen.

The rollout began in December 2025, when the technology was first introduced at Winterthur and Pfäffikon.

In July 2026, the system was extended to Zurich and St. Gallen, completing its deployment across the group’s land-based estate.

Expansion From 24 to 41 Machines

ReelLink currently operates on 24 slot machines distributed across the four casinos.

The company plans to install an additional 17 units before the end of 2026, bringing the total to 41 machines.

The expansion will extend the platform’s presence across the venues and allow Swiss Casinos to assess its commercial performance in different locations.

The group also believes the technology could become a commercially viable solution for other international operators.

Technology Separates Gaming Content From Hardware

ReelLink’s principal innovation is its ability to separate gaming content from the physical slot machine cabinet.

Traditionally, introducing new titles on casino floors can require hardware updates or the replacement of individual machines.

With ReelLink, certified online games can be deployed to approved cabinets within seconds.

The system allows operators to update machines individually and refresh their gaming portfolios without replacing the physical equipment.

This approach aims to bring the pace of content updates in land-based casinos closer to that of online gaming platforms.

Integration With Existing Casino Systems

ReelLink was developed to operate alongside the technology infrastructure already used by casino operators.

The platform integrates directly with existing casino management systems, preserving established processes involving:

  • Player tracking.
  • Accounting and transaction records.
  • Regulatory reporting.
  • Bill validators.
  • Ticket-In, Ticket-Out (TiTo) systems.
  • LED panels and other peripherals.

This compatibility allows operators to introduce new content without completely restructuring their existing technology systems.

Access to Multiple Gaming Providers

Another important feature of ReelLink is its ability to incorporate content from different online casino game developers.

This enables land-based operators to expand their portfolios without relying exclusively on the catalogue of a single slot machine manufacturer.

The platform also monitors the performance of individual titles in real time.

This information allows casino floor managers to identify games attracting greater player interest and assess potential additions to their gaming portfolios.

Statements From Marcel Tobler

Marcel Tobler, CEO of Swiss Casinos AG, highlighted that ReelLink was developed to transform the experience offered by land-based casinos.

He explained that customers have become accustomed to the extensive choice and frequent content updates available through online gaming platforms.

According to Tobler, traditional casinos must adopt new technology to remain competitive and relevant.

He also noted that ReelLink’s successful deployment across all four venues demonstrates its commercial viability and confirmed the group’s intention to expand the technology internationally.

Statements From Thomas Cavelti

Thomas Cavelti, Casino Director at Casino Zürichsee in Pfäffikon, highlighted the platform’s ability to reduce the financial risks associated with introducing new games.

Traditionally, casinos must commit to purchasing equipment before knowing whether a particular title will appeal to customers.

ReelLink allows operators to introduce fresh content without replacing cabinets and assess its performance before making further investments.

According to Cavelti, this flexibility provides more efficient tools for managing the casino floor.

Statements From Deborah Conte Santoro

Deborah Conte Santoro, Managing Director of ReelLink, explained that the platform addresses the gap between the speed of online content updates and the more limited refresh cycles of land-based casino floors.

She noted that online players can access a continuous flow of new games, while physical casinos generally maintain more static portfolios.

By separating gaming content from the cabinet, ReelLink enables both channels to update their offerings at comparable speeds.

The company believes this model can also be introduced across other international markets.

Certification and Regulatory Compliance

ReelLink was developed by Swiss Casinos Technology AG, a dedicated company established to develop, operate and commercialise the platform.

The technology has received certification from BMM Testlabs for use in Switzerland’s land-based casino market.

Swiss Casinos Technology AG also holds the following certifications:

  • ISO 27001: information security management.
  • ISO 14001: environmental management.

Switzerland’s land-based casinos operate under the supervision of the Federal Gaming Board (ESBK), which oversees compliance with the country’s regulatory requirements.

ReelLink Targets International Expansion

Following the successful rollout across its four venues, Swiss Casinos intends to make ReelLink available to additional operators.

The platform is already commercially available to businesses outside the Swiss Casinos group.

The strategy includes developing partnerships with gaming content providers and operators seeking to modernise their casino floors without substantial investment in replacement cabinets.

Swiss Casinos has not yet announced any specific international partnerships.

Next Steps and Impact

ReelLink’s deployment across all four Swiss Casinos venues represents a significant development in the integration of land-based and online gaming technology.

The solution allows operators to introduce new content rapidly, expand their gaming portfolios and monitor performance without continually replacing physical slot machines.

The next objective is to increase the number of active installations from 24 to 41 machines before the end of 2026.

Over the longer term, Swiss Casinos aims to commercialise the technology across additional markets, providing an alternative approach to modernising land-based casinos.

The project reflects a broader move towards more flexible gaming environments, where digital content can be integrated with traditional infrastructure to improve operational efficiency.
