Argentina.- January 10, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com With this participation, the provincial entity reaffirms its commitment to the community to protect children and adolescents in the province.

Lotería de Córdoba announces its participation in “Gift Responsibly,” a global campaign by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), supported by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).

This effort brings Lotería de Córdoba together with more than 64 lotteries and 87 community organizations worldwide, aiming to inform and raise awareness about the risks of gambling among minors.

The initiative is organized by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and is backed by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).

“The long-term risks associated with minors’ exposure to gambling cannot be underestimated,” stated Keith Whyte, Executive Director of NCPG. “We commend Lotería de Córdoba S.E. for its commitment to raising awareness about the risks of gambling for young people and for educating the community that gambling is not appropriate for children and adolescents.”

Local Commitment to Social Responsibility

“Research shows that the earlier the contact with gambling, the higher the probability of developing related problems in the future. Exposure to these activities often occurs through adults who are unaware of the risks they pose to minors. Therefore, since assuming leadership at Lotería de Córdoba, we have worked tirelessly to prevent minors from participating in gambling,” explained David Urreta, President of Lotería de Córdoba.

Urreta also highlighted other key initiatives:

• Talks and workshops offered to students, professionals, and teachers in the province through the Responsible Gaming Department.
• The campaign “HELP US PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN,” which promotes tools like apps to block access to gambling sites.
• Collaboration with the Public Prosecutor’s Office in combating illegal gambling, reminding the public that anonymous complaints can be made by calling 0800-555-0606.

“It is an honor for our daily efforts to be recognized as we join this global campaign,” concluded Urreta.

Founded in the early 2000s, the “Gift Responsibly” campaign works to raise public awareness about the risks of gambling for young people. Through partnerships with lotteries and other organizations, the campaign educates communities about the dangers of gambling for children.

Promoted by the NCPG and supported by NASPL, the “Gift Responsibly” campaign seeks to raise awareness about the importance of protecting vulnerable populations, promoting the idea that gambling is entertainment exclusively for adults and should never be considered a gift for minors.
