Zona de Azar Brasil – Brazil: SPA-MF Updates the “List” of Companies Allowed to Offer Bets

Brazil.- December 20, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The Secretariat of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF) updated on Tuesday (17) the list of betting companies authorized to continue operating nationwide. The national list includes 232 gaming and betting brands operating in the Brazilian market, belonging to 103 companies.

Companies Paulo R. Lemos e Cia Ltda and YG Gaming Ltda were included on the list of betting operators authorized to operate in Brazil due to a judicial ruling. Their associated brands/domains include:

• Paulo R. Lemos e Cia Ltda: bet678.com.br, jogo88.com.br, and br999.com.br.
• YG Gaming Ltda: 6z.bet.br, 8pg.bet.br, and 98br.bet.br.

With this update, the number of authorized betting companies in the country reached 103, with five of them added by judicial determination.

State-Level Updates
On November 26, SPA/MF updated the list of authorized betting operators in states, totaling 31 state-level operators. Newly included operators for the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery (LOTERJ) include:

• Via Bet Ltda: Via Bet (via-bet.com) and Brilhante Bet (brilhante.bet)
• To All Games Operações Lotéricas Ltda: Clube do Bet (clubedobet.bet)
• Noah Games Ltda: Brabet (brabet.club)
• TEB RJ Ltda: 98br (98br.com)
• Two Tech Games Ltda: Claze (claze.com)

Check the List of Companies Authorized to Offer Fixed-Odds Betting

Legal entities actively operating that submitted authorization requests to the Ministry of Finance by September 17, 2024, with their respective brands and internet domains, can offer fixed-odds betting nationwide during the adjustment period until December 31, 2024. This is in accordance with Article 9, Sole Paragraph, of Law No. 14.790 of December 29, 2023, Article 24 of SPA/MF Ordinance No. 827 of May 21, 2024, and SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1.475 of September 16, 2024.

322 Companies Have Applied for Authorization

To date, 322 companies have submitted authorization requests through the Betting Management System (SIGAP) to the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF) to operate in the fixed-odds betting and online gaming market, following all Ministry guidelines and ordinances (SPA/MF 827/24).

Of the 322 requests, 51 have been withdrawn, leaving 271 active applications for 813 brands. If all applicants receive authorization, the government could collect R$ 8.13 billion in fixed concession fees.
