Having joined the Commission in 2016, Miller will remain in office until September before moving into an independent international advisory role supporting governments, regulators and organisations developing well-regulated and competitive gambling markets.
During his tenure, he oversaw the Gambling Survey for Great Britain, implementation of major elements of the Gambling Act review, financial vulnerability checks, age verification reforms, remote game design regulation and stricter direct marketing rules.
The Gambling Commission confirmed that details regarding his successor will be announced in due course.

Miller’s departure follows broader leadership changes within the regulator after former CEO Andrew Rhodes stepped down earlier this year. He has been one of the principal architects of the UK’s gambling regulatory reforms stemming from the Gambling Act review and subsequent White Paper.
