Coljuegos Surpasses 46,000 Requests to Block Illegal Gambling Websites

The initiative aims to protect players, strengthen the regulated market, and safeguard public health funding.

According to Coljuegos, these 46,228 blocking orders account for 83% of all blocking requests issued throughout the regulator’s history. Overall, the authority has processed 55,658 blocking requests against illegal gambling websites.

Coljuegos President Marco Emilio Hincapié highlighted that enforcement has expanded significantly thanks to the regulator’s Artificial Intelligence Center, which improves the detection of unauthorized gambling platforms.

The regulator is also working with Colombia’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC) to streamline the blocking process through internet service providers.
