Brazil: ANJL Announced the Integration of Six Companies

Brazil – April 10, 2025 – www.zonadeazar.com The National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) announced the integration of six companies and their respective brands, including one from the payments sector.

Currently, ANJL has 21 member companies. The new additions are OIG Gaming (7Games, Betão, and R7), SPRBT (Superbet, MagicJackpot, and Super), Ana Gaming (BET7K, CassinoPix, and Bet Vera), Esportes Gaming (Esportes da Sorte, Onabet, and PicBet), LBBR Apostas (Luck.bet, 1 Pra 1, and Startbet), Betbr Loterias (Apostou, B1Bet, and BRBET), and Pagstar (Pagstar).

According to ANJL, Plínio Lemos Jorge, president of the association, commented that the arrival of “such relevant companies” and “industry leaders” represents recognition of the work carried out by the entity.

“We are three months into a regulated market, and this increase in memberships shows how important it is for us to unite to face the sector’s challenges together. The trend is that this number [of member companies] will only grow as new companies are authorized by the federal government to operate in the country,” Jorge stated.

Additionally, ANJL commented on the statements made by Aquiles Mosca, director of the Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Market Entities (Anbima). The article was published in the Valor Econômico newspaper last Wednesday, the 2nd.

“By comparing the regulated betting segment to a ‘pocket bookie,’ Aquiles Mosca not only makes a disrespectful statement but also one that is profoundly mistaken and misinformed,” ANJL highlighted.

For the entity, the director’s words “disregard the institutional, regulatory, and economic advances” being promoted by the regulated market in Brazil.

ANJL sought to clarify the facts and contribute to the public debate, emphasizing that the sector positively contributes to the local economy and job creation.

In the first half of this year, the national regulated online betting market generated more than R$ 4 billion in revenue for the Union, including concession fees and taxes.

“Trying to equate a formal, regulated sector with a clear fiscal and social contribution to illegal practices is an unfair and unfounded attempt to delegitimize a legal activity that is now an integral part of the national economy,” ANJL stated in an official release.

The document was also signed by the Brazilian Gaming Association (Abrajogo), the National Gaming Association (AIGaming), and the Brazilian Institute for Legal Gaming (IJL).
