Brazil Records 650 Bets Website Visits per Second in 2025

Brazil – April 16, 2025 – www.zonadeazar.com The sports betting market continues its rapid expansion in Brazil. In the first quarter of 2025, betting sites recorded over 5 billion visits, equivalent to more than 650 clicks per second.

Before diving into the numbers of this report, watch the video that shows what 650 clicks per second sounds like — it will give you a real sense of what we’re talking about.

It’s the dizzying pace at which the sports betting market is growing in Brazil.

This traffic frequency would be enough to fill Maracanã Stadium, with its 78,000+ seats, in just 2 minutes — or fill a stadium like Couto Pereira every single minute.

Betting Market Grows 90% in Visits

During the second half of 2024, traffic to betting platforms remained relatively stable, with 2.55 billion visits in the third quarter and 2.66 billion in the fourth.

The turning point came with the regulation of the sector at the beginning of 2025, which triggered a real explosion in visits. The measure seems to have increased public interest while encouraging major operators to ramp up their investments in advertising, visibility, and strategic partnerships.

With regulation, the average number of visits to betting sites jumped by 90% compared to the previous quarter.

Explosion in Visits Since Regulation

In January, the first month under regulation, betting sites registered 1.7 billion visits.

In February, the number slightly dropped to 1.4 billion, but surged again in March, reaching 1.8 billion visits — the highest monthly volume ever recorded in the historical series.

In the first three months of 2025, one betting site accumulated 1.1 billion visits — 357 million in January, 332 million in February, and 417 million in March. This represents a nearly 25% increase between February and March, demonstrating a steady growth pace.

As the main sponsor of the Brazilian Football Championship and the reality show A Fazenda, Betano has become a constant presence in the daily lives of millions of Brazilians — a powerful combination of visibility, media influence, and digital accessibility.

From “Baú” to Big Brother: 170 Licensed Betting Houses by March

With regulation advancing, the number of licensed operators also skyrocketed. Brazil ended January with just over 150 active licenses (between provisional and definitive) and reached over 170 operators by March.

Among them, we see brands directly tied to major media groups:

  • Bandbet, from Rede Bandeirantes

  • MGM Apostas, linked to TV Globo

  • Baú Bingo, Bet do Milhão, and Tele-Sena Bet, associated with SBT
