Brazil: Cadu Albuquerque Takes National eSports Director Role

Brazil.– 27 May 2026 – www.zonadeazar.com  Cadu Albuquerque, former president of FERJEE, takes office as National Director of eSports at Brazil’s Ministry of Sport, following the official publication of his appointment in the Federal Official Gazette.

The move represents a new institutional step for electronic sports in Brazil. Albuquerque leaves the presidency of the Rio de Janeiro State Federation of Electronic Sports and joins a federal structure linked to the national development of the sector.

Following his departure, Bárbara Corrêa becomes interim president of FERJEE. During his tenure, the federation promoted the State eSports Circuit, initiatives in more than 24 municipalities, educational projects such as GameCraft, and women’s, school, university, amateur and professional competitions.
