FedEx St. Jude: Three Betting Picks for TPC Southwind
United States.- 13 August 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com The 2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship opens the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs at TPC Southwind in Memphis, featuring a 70-player field competing to advance to the next stage of the postseason.
Ahead of the tournament, the betting analysis highlights three outright selections at different price points: Matt Fitzpatrick, Tom Kim and Sungjae Im.
Matt Fitzpatrick Leads the Card
The leading selection is Matt Fitzpatrick at 27/1 with FanDuel.
The Englishman arrives after missing the cut at The Open Championship, but his overall 2026 campaign has produced consistently strong results.
Fitzpatrick has recorded three PGA Tour victories this season —including a team event— together with seven Top-5 finishes and 13 results of 25th or better from 18 starts.
Before The Open, he finished third at the Scottish Open, fourth at the Travelers Championship, 22nd at the U.S. Open and second at the Canadian Open.
His TPC Southwind history also strengthens the case, with three Top-10 finishes from seven appearances in Memphis.
Tom Kim as the Sleeper
The second selection is Tom Kim at 52/1 with DraftKings.
The South Korean has improved steadily during the latter stages of the 2026 season and enters the event having recently won the Scottish Open.
He has also recorded three Top-5 finishes across his past six starts, including another strong performance at the Wyndham Championship.
Despite that recent form, his outright price remains well outside the leading group of contenders, providing a higher-return option.
Sungjae Im as the Long Shot
The longest-priced recommendation is Sungjae Im at 95/1 with DraftKings.
While the South Korean is still searching for his third career victory and first since 2021, recent results suggest an improvement in form.
Im has posted three Top-15 finishes in his last four appearances, including a T14 at the Wyndham Championship.
He also owns a positive record at TPC Southwind, having finished sixth in 2023 and recorded three consecutive Top-20 results on his most recent visits.
Tournament Context
Scottie Scheffler starts as the market favourite at approximately +480, with Rory McIlroy second at 15/1.
Behind McIlroy is a deep group of contenders priced between 20/1 and 30/1, underlining the strength of the field.
TPC Southwind has historically produced unpredictable results. Recent editions have included major long-shot winners, such as Justin Rose at 100/1 in 2025 and Lucas Glover at 90/1 in 2023.
FedExCup Playoffs
The FedEx St. Jude Championship is the first of three playoff events.
The 70 qualified players compete in Memphis, but only the top 50 in the FedExCup standings following the event will progress to the BMW Championship.
From there, the top 30 will advance to the Tour Championship at East Lake.
That structure increases the competitive pressure surrounding every finishing position throughout the week.
Next Steps or Impact
Outright prices can change before the opening round as betting activity develops.
The three selections represent different levels of risk: Fitzpatrick near the upper end of the market, Kim as a mid-range option and Im as the long-shot play.
The tournament begins on 13 August and concludes on 16 August at TPC Southwind.
