GAT Events will officially launch Gaming & Technology Expo in Brazil through a gathering focused on the transformation of the country’s regulated betting and gambling industry.
GAT Official Launch Brasil 2026 will take place on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 July at the Jockey Club de São Paulo, bringing together public authorities, industry associations, operators, manufacturers, technology providers, specialists and investors from Brazil and Latin America.
Its agenda will cover several issues currently shaping the future of the Brazilian industry, including effective enforcement, action against illegal operators, sports integrity, responsible advertising, consumer protection and the development of B2B licensing.
The programme will also consider Bill PL 2234 and the potential authorisation of land-based casinos and integrated resorts, as well as prediction markets and the federal organisation of state and municipal lotteries.
GAT’s Official Arrival in the Brazilian Market
The arrival of GAT Events in Brazil represents a new stage for an organisation with 27 years of experience producing exhibitions and business gatherings for the Latin American gaming industry.
José Aníbal Aguirre, founder and CEO of GAT Events, highlights the work undertaken to bring the brand into the Brazilian market and the support received from numerous professionals and industry leaders.
The programme will begin on 29 July with an invitation-only meeting at the Vicky Barcelona restaurant. The gathering will provide an opportunity to present the organisation’s vision and share expectations surrounding GAT Expo Brasil 2027.
The principal programme will take place at the Jockey Club de São Paulo on 30 July. Registration will open at 1:00 p.m., while the conference agenda will run from 2:00 to 6:45 p.m. A networking cocktail from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. will close the event.

Nineteen months after the beginning of regulation, the market faces challenges involving illegal supply, the channelisation of customers towards authorised platforms and the implementation of regulatory, technological and financial tools capable of supporting enforcement.
Neil Montgomery will moderate the discussion with Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, former president of LOTERJ; Fabiano Jantalia, president of the OAB Federal District’s Gambling and Betting Commission; and Eduardo Ludmer from BetMGM’s Legal and Compliance department.
Integrity, Advertising and Responsible Gambling
Another panel will assess the World Cup’s impact on Brazil’s regulated betting framework.
The tournament represents an important test due to the scale of betting activity and its high level of media exposure. Participants will examine sports integrity, responsible advertising practices and tools designed to protect customers.
Bárbara Teles, co-founder of the Association of Women in the Gaming Industry, will moderate the discussion. Ricardo Magri, co-founder of EBAC, will contribute his perspective on the prevention of compulsive gambling.
B2B Licensing and Technology
Technological infrastructure will also occupy a prominent place in the programme. The third panel will analyse the role of testing laboratories, certification and technical standards in building a reliable market.
Hugo Leite of GLI will moderate the discussion with Thiago Garrides, CEO of Cactus Gaming, and Ana Bárbara Costa Teixeira, Playtech’s Head of Regulatory Affairs.
