Station Casinos Awards More Than $70M in Stock to Employees

United States.- 11 September 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Station Casinos has concluded its 50th anniversary celebrations with one of the largest employee-recognition initiatives in its history, awarding more than $70 million in Red Rock Resorts shares to nearly 10,000 members of staff.

The programme covers eligible full- and part-time Team Members, with individual grants determined by length of service.

Each qualifying employee will receive $1,000 in Red Rock Resorts Class A stock for every year they have worked for the company.

The initiative turns the anniversary into not only a celebration of Station Casinos’ corporate history, but also a direct distribution of equity among the employees who helped build it.

Nearly 10,000 Employees Included

The grant covers almost 10,000 eligible Station Casinos Team Members.

Most are based in Southern Nevada, where the company operates its principal portfolio of casinos and entertainment properties.

Full- and Part-Time Staff

The programme is not restricted to full-time employees.

Eligible part-time Team Members are included as well, significantly broadening the scale of the award.

$1,000 for Every Year of Service

Individual allocations are directly tied to tenure.

Each completed year of service corresponds to $1,000 in Red Rock Resorts Class A shares.

An employee with ten years at the company, for example, is eligible for approximately $10,000 in stock, while staff with several decades of service will receive considerably larger grants.

Tenure at the Centre of the Programme

The formula rewards the employees who have spent the longest period with the organisation.

Rather than applying an identical award to everyone, Station Casinos has connected the size of each grant with cumulative service.

Eligibility Date

Employees had to be working for Station Casinos as of 9 September 2026 to qualify.

That date serves as the programme’s formal eligibility cut-off.

More Than $70 Million in Total

Combined stock grants are valued at more than $70 million.

The scale makes the initiative a major component of Station Casinos’ semicentennial celebrations.

Red Rock Resorts Class A Stock

The awards will be delivered in Class A shares of Red Rock Resorts, Station Casinos’ publicly traded parent company.

The benefit is therefore structured as ownership rather than as a straightforward cash anniversary bonus.

Employees Become Shareholders

That distinction gives the programme an additional dimension.

Eligible staff will hold an economic interest linked to the parent company’s value.

The structure creates a direct relationship between employee recognition and ownership in the wider business.

Shares Available from 14 September

Team Members will be able to begin receiving their awards from Monday, 14 September.

Distribution therefore follows only days after the anniversary ceremony.

Surprise Event at Red Rock Resort

The stock programme was announced during a surprise celebration at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa in Las Vegas.

Employees attending the event were not initially informed of the scale of the award.

Frank Fertitta III Leads the Announcement

Frank Fertitta III, Chairman and CEO of Red Rock Resorts, announced the programme.

He connected the award with the principles on which the company was founded: serving the local community, delivering value and taking care of employees.

Lorenzo Fertitta Participates

Lorenzo Fertitta, Vice Chairman of Red Rock Resorts, also took part in the announcement.

Company leadership stressed that Team Members have been central to building guest relationships and the organisation’s connection with Las Vegas over five decades.

Recognition and Investment

Station Casinos presented the programme as both recognition and investment.

It rewards previous contributions while simultaneously placing equity in the hands of nearly 10,000 current Team Members.

Employees from the 1970s

Some of the company’s longest-serving staff were highlighted during the ceremony.

Station Casinos still employs Team Members whose careers began during the 1970s.

They have therefore witnessed almost the entire development of the business.

Ida Johnson Receives $49,000

Among them is Ida Johnson, who joined the company in 1977.

Her 49 years of service translate into approximately $49,000 in stock under the anniversary programme.

Seven Long-Term Employees Above $45,000

Station Casinos highlighted seven employees who joined during the 1970s and remain with the business today.

Each originally worked at Bingo Palace.

All seven will receive more than $45,000 in company equity.

From Bingo Palace to Station Casinos

Those employees provide a direct link between the modern group and its earliest operating history.

Bingo Palace was the predecessor of what ultimately became Palace Station.

The development of that property accompanied the wider growth of Station Casinos.

Origins in 1976

The company’s history dates to 1 July 1976, when founder Frank Fertitta Jr. opened a roughly 5,000-square-foot property focused on serving Las Vegas residents.

The venue subsequently became Bingo Palace before taking the Palace Station name in 1984.

Tribute to Frank Fertitta Jr.

The anniversary event also honoured company founder Frank Fertitta Jr.

Station Casinos used the occasion to recognise both his legacy and the employees who helped develop the business over the following five decades.

Built for Las Vegas Locals

Station Casinos differentiated itself by focusing primarily on the local Las Vegas market rather than relying exclusively on tourists.

That “locals” model has remained central to its identity.

Expansion Across the Las Vegas Valley

Over time, the business expanded substantially throughout Southern Nevada.

What began as a small local gaming property developed into a major portfolio of casino resorts and entertainment destinations.

Major Properties

The company’s portfolio includes:

  • Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa.
  • Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino.
  • Durango Casino & Resort.
  • Palace Station Hotel & Casino.
  • Boulder Station Hotel & Casino.
  • Sunset Station Hotel & Casino.
  • Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino.

Station Casinos also operates a range of Wildfire and Seventy Six locations.

More Than Casino Gaming

The properties provide a broad mix of entertainment and hospitality.

Offerings include:

  • Restaurants.
  • Cinemas.
  • Bowling.
  • Entertainment venues.
  • Convention and banquet space.
  • Bingo.
  • Race and sports wagering.
  • Video poker.
  • Slots.
  • Table games.

This range reflects the company’s positioning as a local entertainment provider.

50 Years in Las Vegas

Station Casinos officially marked its 50th anniversary on 1 July 2026.

Celebrations began at Palace Station, the property most closely associated with its origins.

Fireworks and Drone Show

The anniversary programme opened with fireworks and a drone show.

Events then continued across the Las Vegas Valley during the summer.

New Corporate Identity

The milestone also included a refreshed brand identity and logo.

The redesign drew on elements of Station Casinos’ historical branding while updating them for the company’s next phase.

“From Vegas, For Vegas, Always Vegas”

The company launched the “From Vegas, For Vegas, Always Vegas” campaign as part of the anniversary.

The positioning reinforces Station Casinos’ long-standing relationship with Las Vegas residents.

Summer Anniversary Programme

Celebrations included:

  • Live entertainment.
  • Commemorative gaming promotions.
  • Food and beverage offers.
  • Vintage photo booths.
  • Team Member appreciation events.
  • Community volunteering initiatives.

The equity award served as the culmination of the programme.

More Than 1,300 Employees with 20 Years’ Service

Station Casinos previously reported that more than 1,300 employees had worked for the company for at least 20 years.

That level of tenure is a notable feature of its workforce.

Employee Retention as an Asset

In gaming and hospitality, long-serving staff can carry significant operational value.

They retain institutional knowledge and often develop long-term relationships with repeat customers.

This is particularly relevant for a business focused on local patrons.

Corporate Culture

The share programme reinforces a corporate narrative built around long-term relationships.

Station Casinos positions its Team Members as central to both the guest experience and the company’s place within the Las Vegas community.

Equity as a Retention Tool

Employee share ownership can also support retention.

Unlike a one-off cash payment, stock creates a direct relationship between workers and the future value of the business.

In this case, Station Casinos is using equity as an exceptional anniversary recognition.

Workplace Recognition

The company has received employer recognition from organisations and publications including Forbes, Newsweek, Great Place to Work and Top Workplaces.

In an August 2026 Great Place to Work profile, 83% of surveyed employees said Station Casinos was a great place to work.

Turning Service into Ownership

The $1,000-per-year formula gives the programme a particularly symbolic structure.

An employee’s time with Station Casinos is directly converted into the value of their equity award.

Connection with the Las Vegas Community

Station Casinos says Team Members have been critical to building lasting relationships with guests and residents.

The company’s local-market positioning makes continuity among frontline employees particularly valuable.

Property Investment Continues

The anniversary also comes during a period of substantial investment in physical assets.

Station Casinos has been expanding and upgrading several properties, including another major development phase at Durango Casino & Resort.

Human Capital Alongside Physical Expansion

The equity programme therefore sits alongside a broader investment cycle.

As capital is deployed into properties and future capacity, the anniversary award represents a parallel investment in the people expected to support that growth.

Industry Context

The US casino industry competes heavily for employees across gaming operations, hospitality, food and beverage and entertainment.

Compensation, benefits, workplace culture and career opportunities have consequently become increasingly important tools for workforce retention.

An equity distribution exceeding $70 million stands out within that environment.

Next Steps and Impact

Eligible Team Members will begin receiving their Red Rock Resorts shares from 14 September.

Individual awards will be calculated at $1,000 for every year of service.

For nearly 10,000 employees, Station Casinos’ 50th anniversary therefore becomes a direct economic stake in the parent company.

For the business, the programme combines historical recognition, employee engagement and an investment in the workforce expected to accompany Station Casinos into its next stage of growth in Las Vegas.
