Vyking Builds Its Own Sportsbook on FIRST.bet’s SportOS

Data-driven iGaming platform provider and games aggregator Vyking has developed its own sportsbook using SportOS, the frontend-less sportsbook operating system from FIRST.bet.
Vyking’s product team designed and developed the entire player-facing experience, while FIRST.bet provides the sportsbook engine operating behind the platform.
This gives Vyking control over the interface, design and user journeys, from the presentation of in-play markets to the behaviour of the bet slip.
A key element of the project was the development of the mobile experience, reflecting the significant role mobile devices play in modern sports betting.
SportOS was created to enable operators and platforms to develop differentiated products on top of FIRST.bet’s sportsbook infrastructure. While Vyking controls its own design, frontend and player experience, FIRST.bet manages essential sportsbook functions including pricing, trading, risk management, bet acceptance and settlement.

Tom Light highlighted that Vyking took direct responsibility for building the product its clients required, making use of the flexibility SportOS was specifically designed to provide.
He explained that FIRST.bet’s role is focused on the sportsbook technology operating behind the product — including pricing, trading, risk, bet acceptance and settlement — while the player-facing experience remains under Vyking’s control.

Vyking designed the product, developed the frontend internally and placed particular emphasis on mobile, while FIRST.bet provides the technology engine supporting the operation.
The FIRST.bet sportsbook is now available across Vyking’s operator network, either via iFrame or through SportOS.
