Zona de Azar Brazil – Brazil: Bill Approved at the Chamber Prohibits Advertising for Offshore Sports Betting

Brazil.- 12th July 2022 www.zonadeazar.com The Chamber of Deputies approved the Bill 1153/2019, that amends the Sports betting law (Law 13,756/2018), by including an additional 1% of the GGR for sports entities, lowering the operator’s share from 95% to 94%, and prohibiting any kind of advertising or marketing of sports betting companies without headquarters in Brazil.

If this prohibition is approved by the Senate, it may impact all companies before the opening of the market.
