Zona de Azar Brasil – Brasil: ANJL Reinforces Commitment to “Integrity”

Brasil.- August 12, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com   Last week, the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) met with the General Delegation of the Civil Police of the State of São Paulo. The president of the ANJL, Plínio Lemos Jorge, reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to integrity in the sports betting market.

The ANJL consolidated a cooperation agreement to ensure the safety of bettors and online betting houses.

During the meeting, Jorge highlighted to the general delegate Artur José Dian the measures taken by the ANJL to strengthen the commitment to sports integrity, including “zero tolerance” for all illegal practices, such as match-fixing.

“The ANJL held a series of talks, from which cooperation agreements were derived with the main Justice and Public Security bodies,” said the president of the ANJL, adding: “We have already met with the Public Prosecutor’s Offices of Goiás and São Paulo, and now with the General Delegation of São Paulo.”

Jorge stated that the ANJL’s goal was to “open direct channels of communication and collaboration” with stakeholders in the online betting sector. The Association increasingly reinforced, according to him, “the message that the market can only be structured and advance in an environment of integrity and safety for all.”
