Betfair announced that over BRL 500 million has already been wagered on bets related to the American election. Out of this amount, BRL 3 million was bet by users in Brazil.

The candidates are appearing almost tied at the leading betting houses. At Bet365 and Betway, current Vice President Kamala Harris has odds of 1.8, while Donald Trump has odds of 2.0. Meanwhile, at Betfair, both candidates have the same chance, with odds of 1.91.

This scenario reflects what recent election polls have been showing: a rise in the Democratic candidate’s standing in the “swing states.” These states are crucial for an electoral victory, as they do not have a clear historical voting trend for either Republican or Democratic candidates, making the race even tighter and more unpredictable.
