Zona de Azar Canada – PokerStars Online Poker Festival in France and Spain Exceeds Guarantee by More than €1.7million

Canada.- April 20, 2018 www.zonadeazar.com PokerStars Communications Team providing details about SCOOP France and Spain. PokerStars has continued its shared player pool success with the debut Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) for France and Spain, which surpassed its record-breaking €10million guarantee in shared liquidity markets by more than €1.7million, reaching €11,768,035.

The series ran from March 25-April 9 and attracted more than 37,000 unique entries across 120 scheduled tournaments, the first time PokerStars has offered an online series with more than 100 tournaments in shared liquidity markets.

The Main Event featured €50 low and €250 high buy-in levels to suit all bankrolls and garnered more than 8,000 unique players in total. The Main Event Low proved most popular, with 5,006 unique players logging in to play. Spanish players took down both Main Events with ‘Sytoamd’ winning the Main Event High for €117,600 and ‘__elembolo’ winning the Main Event Low for €30,055.

To add to their winnings, both players were awarded a Platinum Pass worth €30,000 to the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship. Another Platinum Pass was awarded to ‘lilo613’, also from Spain, who won the free All-in Shootout after playing in a tournament for just a $100 buy-in. The free All-in Shootout was open to all players who took part in a SCOOP event. This brings the tally of Spanish players to have won the poker trip of a lifetime to the Bahamas and the chance to play for life-changing amounts of money to four.

SCOOP follows France and Spain’s first ever shared player pool tournament series earlier this year, the FRESH Series, which exceeded its €5 million guarantee at €6,149,751 and attracted more than 30,000 unique entries across 50 events.
