Argentina.- February 21 2025 www.zonadeazar.com Within the framework of the International Responsible Gaming Day, which is commemorated on February 17, legal gaming companies and lotteries from all over the country met to discuss and align strategies so that betting becomes a safe entertainment and is carried out in a legal and responsible manner in Argentina.
The representatives of BetWarrior, Betsson and Bplay agreed on the importance of the fight against clandestine gambling, which is where minors gamble, and to increase the number of awareness campaigns throughout the country. In this context, they highlighted the progress of the agreement with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to educate soccer players of all categories.
Ida López, President of the Gaming and Casino Institute of Mendoza and of the Argentine State Lottery Association (ALEA), said: “These meetings are important because they help us to raise awareness. We try to get the message across so that vulnerable sectors do not suffer the consequences of playing on illegal platforms”.

What message would you like to give on the International Responsible Gaming Day?
Today, on the Responsible Gaming Day, we are finishing some training days in which regulators from all the provinces, operators and all the people linked to this entertainment and gambling industry have attended at the Palermo Racetrack.
It is important to say that we, from the State, from the enforcement authorities of each one of the provinces and ALEA as the association that gathers all of us, are permanently fighting for a legal, safe and responsible gaming.
For this purpose we have responsible gambling programs which have a preventive activity and so we permanently carry out awareness campaigns and also assistance campaigns and that is why each lottery has its own program which is to accompany and help those who have a problem with gambling and it becomes a pathological gambling.
At this point in the province of Mendoza we have a responsible gambling program that works interdisciplinary and brings together a technical team of psychologists, psychiatrists together with the Ministry of Health of the province that treats this problem of pathological gambling.
And if not, we do all the pending measures so that society knows when it is playing in a platform, for example, in the legal online game, which is safe because it is controlled, and when it is playing in an illegal platform with all the risks that this entails.
At this point, and it is always important to emphasize, that the legal platforms where people can play without any problem are the platforms ending in .bet.ar, that if it is .com or .com.ar they are platforms of illegal sites and therefore they should not play in those sites and that in the legal platforms the vulnerable sectors cannot play, such as people under 18 years old or people who are self-excluded because they have a gambling problem.
It is important to take advantage of these days and these conferences to reach society with the correct information and the internal conferences allow us to relate with each other and learn a little more every day.
