President of COAF, Praises the Professionalism of BiS SiGMA Brasília 2026

During BiS SiGMA Brasília 2026, which began this morning (June 2), Ricardo Saadi, president of COAF (Council for Financial Activities Control), highlighted the importance of regulating the betting market in Brazil and the agency’s role in strengthening anti-money laundering measures and increasing transparency in the sector’s financial operations.

Saadi participated in the panel “Follow The Money – Integrity, Governance, and Anti-Money Laundering,” alongside Ana Helena Pamplona, legal director of ABRAJOGO, and Matheus Vidal, Head of Legal at Paag. The discussion addressed regulatory advances, the challenges facing the sector, and the initiatives that have been contributing to the strengthening and professionalization of the betting industry in the country.

During his remarks, the COAF president emphasized that the regulated betting market operates within the parameters established by Brazilian law and praised the work carried out by BiS.

“We know that BiS has been doing serious work aimed at bringing integrity to the sector, which is why I made a point of being here to represent the agency where I work. For the most part, the regulated betting sector follows best practices and complies with Brazilian laws. Furthermore, the market has been constantly seeking mechanisms to prevent money laundering,” he stated.
