Esportes da Sorte Sponsors Recife São João Festival
Partnership with Galo da Madrugada Reinforces the Brand’s Presence at Pernambuco’s Largest Cultural Events
Brazil.- June 04, 2026 www.zonadeazar.com Forrozão do Galo 2026 will once again be sponsored by Esportes da Sorte. The partnership, now in its fourth consecutive year, reinforces the brand’s presence at Pernambuco’s major cultural events and expands its role in the state’s June festival calendar.
Held on June 5 and 6 in Recife, the event extends Galo da Madrugada’s presence beyond Carnival and strengthens its connection to June traditions, living up to the group’s slogan of bringing “Joy All Year Round.” For four years, the EGB Group brand—which also includes Onabet and Lottu—has supported the world’s largest carnival parade, consolidating a long-term relationship with one of the country’s most iconic cultural institutions.
Now in its 16th edition, the celebration is completely open to the public and expects to welcome around 30,000 people per night at Praça Sérgio Loreto, located in the São José neighborhood in downtown Recife. With a seven-hour marathon of non-stop daily performances, the event runs from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. On the main stage, starting at 8 p.m., the shows will feature Gustavo Travassos, Bia Villa-Chan, and Raphaela Santos on Friday (5th), followed by Andrielly Souza, Kelly Oliveira, and Priscila Senna on Saturday (6th). At the same time, three floats featuring Banda Inove, Asas da América, Fabiana Pimentinha, and Forró Culé de Chá will lead a festive parade starting from Dantas Barreto Avenue, ensuring a lively atmosphere in the open-air arena.
The circuit’s grand structure includes a Scenic Village entirely restored by artist Acácio Damascena, consisting of ten typical little houses (such as the mud house, J. Borges’ house, the fortune-teller’s and the gossip’s houses, an inn, a maternity ward, a cabaret, and a church) with interiors and roofs fully accessible for photos. The space also features a giant Styrofoam trio playing the pé-de-serra, a scenic bonfire, and a six-meter-long wooden replica of the Maria Fumaça locomotive, which whistles and emits real smoke.
The revival of popular traditions gains momentum at Polo Raízes with the Bloco das Ilusões parade carrying the “flag of São João,” the June festival procession with Caruaru bacamarteiros, giant puppets, and floats, as well as performances by six adult and children’s June dance groups (Raio de Sol, Tradição, Sinhá Matura, Brincant’s, Evolução, and Couro Quente), accompanied by the music of the Forró Viana trio and the Galo da Madrugada Orchestra. The event also generates a significant socioeconomic impact through its Gastronomic Hub, consisting of approximately 20 stalls provided free of charge so that workers from neighboring communities can sell traditional foods and beverages, with all proceeds going directly to local families.
Esportes da Sorte is sponsoring an exclusive float and will be present at various points along the circuit with integrated activations, public experiences, and activities in the scenic city. Among the planned initiatives are the “Wheel of Fortune,” “Catch the Hexa Star,” a mobile Instagram-worthy photo frame, and the distribution of giveaways.
Heitor Pina, Sponsorship Coordinator for the EGB Group, emphasizes the importance of continuing the partnership and supporting Pernambuco’s major cultural events:
“Supporting Brazil’s major cultural events is a permanent commitment of the EGB Group. Being present at Forrozão do Galo represents not only the continuation of a historic partnership with Galo da Madrugada, built over the past few years, but also the consolidation of our involvement in initiatives that strengthen popular culture and drive the regional creative economy.”
Support for Forrozão do Galo is part of the strategy to promote popular culture developed by Esportes da Sorte in different regions of the country. In Pernambuco, the brand’s activities focus on strengthening events that are part of the local cultural identity and drive sectors such as tourism, commerce, services, and the creative economy.
This trajectory includes ongoing support for Galo da Madrugada, the main symbol of Pernambuco’s Carnival, as well as initiatives aimed at promoting cultural experiences that bring artists, audiences, and local communities together.
Combining fun and safety, Esportes da Sorte promotes responsible entertainment as one of the pillars of its operations. Operating 100% domestically under a license granted by the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF), the company continuously invests in control mechanisms, user protection, and the prevention of gambling addiction, ensuring a safe and responsible digital experience.
