CPI of Bets to Hear from Peach Blossom Representative

Brazil – April 29, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com The CPI of Bets, which is investigating irregularities in the online betting sector, will hear this Tuesday (29th), starting at 11 a.m., from attorney Adélia de Jesus Soares and a representative of the company Peach Blossom River Technology. Both testimonies are part of the investigations into the financial, social, and regulatory impacts of betting platforms’ operations in Brazil.

The summoning of Adélia Soares was requested by the CPI’s rapporteur, Senator Soraya Thronicke (Podemos-MS), through request REQ 383/2024 – CPIBETS. Adélia Soares is the owner of Payflow Processadora de Pagamentos Ltda.

Soraya points out that investigations by the Civil Police of the Federal District indicated that this company may have been used as a front for irregular financial transactions and money laundering linked to gambling activities. Furthermore, according to the senator, there are signs that Payflow operated in violation of Central Bank regulations and may be linked to a company based in the British Virgin Islands.

The summoning of a representative from Peach Blossom River Technology was also requested by Soraya Thronicke, through REQ 404/2025 – CPIBETS.

In this case, the request seeks to clarify the corporate structure of the company, which, according to Soraya, may have business ties with Payflow. The senator highlights that Peach Blossom River Technology is mentioned in investigations conducted by the Civil Police of the Federal District and may be involved in financial operations related to online betting platforms.

In addition to these two testimonies, the committee may deliberate on two other requests submitted by Soraya: REQ 444/2025 – CPIBETS, which calls for the summoning of digital influencer Giliard Vidal dos Santos to testify before the committee, and REQ 445/2025 – CPIBETS, which requests that the Financial Activities Control Council (Coaf) prepare a Financial Intelligence Report (RIF) regarding the influencer.
