Formula 1: “We Are Working Hard to Create an Engaging Betting Product”

Brazil – April 4, 2025 – www.zonadeazar.com Formula 1 is ramping up its efforts to increase participation in the sports betting market. The organization is looking to enhance fan engagement while also diversifying its revenue streams.

The category’s Director of Commercial Partnerships, Jonny Haworth, highlighted that F1 currently accounts for only 0.4% of the global betting volume— a figure considered low given the sport’s reach and the wealth of real-time data it offers.

“We are working hard to create an engaging betting product that allows people not only to bet on final results but also to use data to place live bets,” Haworth added.

To change this scenario, F1 has entered into a strategic partnership with ALT Sports Data, a company specializing in developing products for the sports betting industry. The goal of the partnership is to create a platform that utilizes real-time data, offering various live betting options to provide fans with a more dynamic and interactive experience.

Haworth also emphasized that betting can offer fans a new way to engage with the sport. He further noted that the unpredictability of F1 results—especially with the regulatory changes planned for 2026—makes this the ideal time for the sport to invest in the sports betting market.
