Holland.- May 20th 2019 www.zonadeazar.com The planned privatization of Holland Casino has been canceled for the time being. The bill that should make this possible has been withdrawn, says Minister Sander Dekker (Legal Protection) on Friday according to BNR .

There is insufficient support for the plan in the Senate. The future of the state-owned company, for example, would not be sufficiently guaranteed.

Many members of the Senate also attach great importance to the role that Holland Casino plays in combating gambling addiction.

Dekker was to come up with a new proposal, but on closer inspection he decided not to let the privatization go ahead at all.

It became clear in February that the plan to privatize the casino within two years was in doubt.
