Overview
Flutter Entertainment generated US$4.3bn in Q1 2026 revenue, representing 17% year-on-year growth. The company attributed the performance to FanDuel’s continued US leadership, strong iGaming momentum and major international acquisitions across Italy and Brazil.
At the same time, Flutter announced significant executive restructuring and lowered parts of its full-year guidance due to unfavourable sports outcomes and increased operational investment.
Details / Context
One of the quarter’s biggest developments was the departure of Amy Howe as FanDuel CEO. Christian Genetski will now lead the US business, while Dan Taylor, previously CEO of Flutter International, was promoted to the newly created role of President of Flutter Entertainment.
Flutter stated that the leadership changes are designed to improve integration between its US and international operations, particularly across sportsbook, iGaming and prediction market expansion.
The group also confirmed increased investment in FanDuel Predicts, its prediction markets initiative aimed at broadening user engagement opportunities.
Market Context
FanDuel remains the leading operator in the regulated US market:
International growth was supported by:
- the acquisition of Snai in Italy,
- Sisal’s performance,
- Betnacional’s expansion in Brazil,
- and operational growth across Central and Eastern Europe.
Brazil emerged as one of the standout markets of the quarter, recording reported growth of 722% following Flutter’s NSX/Betnacional acquisition and the development of the newly regulated Brazilian betting market.
Impact
Despite strong revenue growth, Flutter reduced its 2026 guidance:
- expected revenue: US$18.305bn,
- adjusted EBITDA: US$2.865bn.
The company cited:
- adverse sports results,
- expansion costs,
- regulatory pressures,
- and increased technology investments as profitability challenges.
Flutter also confirmed that it has commenced a strategic review of its London Stock Exchange listing amid a significant decline in its share price during 2026.
Future Perspective
Flutter believes the regulated global betting market continues to present major long-term growth opportunities. The company plans to:
- strengthen FanDuel,
- expand prediction markets,
- consolidate leadership in Brazil,
- integrate acquisitions,
- and accelerate convergence between sportsbook, online casino and technology innovation.
The group maintains that its “local hero brands” strategy remains one of the strongest competitive advantages within the global gaming industry.
