Zona de Azar USA – DraftKings & FanDuel Impressive Start To Arizona Sports Betting
USA.- April 06, 2022 www.zonadeazar.com Sportsbook giants DraftKings and FanDuel continue to maintain their hegemony at the helm of America’s sports wagering industry, this time flexing their muscles in Arizona. The Copper State’s fledgling sports betting market has set-off at a blistering pace, and has proved a lucrative landscape for DraftKings, FanDuel, and sixteen other sports platform operators.

At the turn of the year, the state delivered a huge $563.7m in January’s monthly wagering handle, only the eighth state to deliver this feat. More impressively, it was the second-quickest market to hit this landmark number. Only New York, whose performance can almost be described as a freak anomaly, surpassed this figure with more haste, with the Empire State registering an eye-watering $1.7bn in the same month. Nevertheless, Arizona’s gambling sector is certainly stacked up for a consolidated growth period.
‘’Arizona’s quick ramp-up has been a function of great timing, local enthusiasm, and an attractive regulatory framework that has appealed to nationally known sportsbook operators’’ said Eric Ramsey, a senior analyst at native media outlet, PlayAZ. He also added that the state has benefited from arriving late to the sports wagering party, using the experiences of others to tailor a successful path towards prosperity.
DraftKings and FanDuel usually find themselves cemented to the top two positions in any local sportsbook market; this is no different in Arizona. In January alone, Boston-based DraftKings topped the ranking charts, scooping a colossal $173.1m in handle, and therefore accounting for nearly a third of the Arizona’s total sports wagering turnover. FanDuel weren’t far behind, taking $153.9m in bets throughout the first month of the year.
Eighteen out of twenty license slots have now been filled in the southwestern-state, and one can only imagine that it won’t be too long before the remaining two vacancies are snapped up by prospective suitors, eager to cash in on a bourgeoning scope ofopportunity.
