Zona de Azar Brasil – Brasil: LOTERJ Launches Accreditation for Various Types of Games

Brazil.- August 27, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The State Lottery of Rio de Janeiro – LOTERJ published this Friday (24) an accreditation notice for the hiring of a specialized legal entity for the operation of the lottery modality of numerical prognosis lottery (Multiple Chances) in the State of Rio de Janeiro, which includes: creation of products (games), printing, storage, distribution, commercialization, televised draw, validation and payment of prizes, as well as preparation, proposal, guidance, and execution of advertising campaigns.

National or foreign legal entities that carry out activities compatible with the object to be contracted, either individually or as a consortium for the operation of the lottery modality, in physical format and/or e-commerce, may participate in the accreditation process.

The accreditation period will be 10 years from the date of publication of the extract of the Accreditation Term in the Official Gazette of the State of Rio de Janeiro, and may be terminated early for the reasons or conditions established in the notice.

Accredited companies will pay LOTERJ a monthly variable grant of 5% on the GGR (Gross Gaming Revenue) – the result of the gross collection of the games minus the total amount of prizes paid to bettors.

The accredited company must maintain in favor of LOTERJ, as a guarantee of the faithful fulfillment of the contractual obligations and throughout the entire accreditation period, a performance guarantee corresponding to 1% of the estimated value of the accreditation for one year.

The estimated value for the first year will correspond to the average gross revenue of the last five years, in the amount of R$ 102,445,410.00, registered with LOTERJ on the occasion of the service provision by the contracted companies during the referenced period for the operation of the Numerical Prognosis Lottery Modality (Multiple Chances).

In addition, the accredited companies must adhere, within a maximum period of five business days after signing the Accreditation Term, to the Payment System provider contracted by LOTERJ for processing payments related to LOTERJ lottery products’ bets and prizes. Check the notice and the Annexes.
