Jeffrey Chiquini took advantage of the post to defend Alef Manga, who will be free to return to the pitch at the end of next July. According to Jeffrey, Coritiba’s executive director, William Thomas, does not have a good relationship and the director had even consulted the market to “get rid of” the player.

Alef Manga was suspended on August 9 last year

Alef Manga is 28 years old and was at the peak of his career playing for Coritiba. The striker was the biggest name in the squad, however, he was one of those accused of participating in the Brazilian football results manipulation scheme.

Pafos, the club where the athlete played, was notified and Alef no longer entered the field wearing the team’s shirt. During the season, Alef had played 6 games for the Cypriot team and was returned to Coritiba.

The athlete was suspended for 360 days in August 2023, on charges of having received a yellow card in the match between Coritiba x América Mineiro, in 2022. The sentence began to be served shortly after the trial on August 9th. last year.
