Zona de Azar Brazil – Brazil: Pixbet Launches Former Employee as Candidate for Mayor

Brazil.- July 11, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com  Pixbet, a betting house based in Campina Grande/PB, announced its support for the candidacy of its former employee Michel Alexandre for mayor of the city of Serra Branca, a municipality in the northeastern state. The campaign was launched last Sunday, the 7th, and was attended by the CEO of the betting house, Ernildo Junior, and also by Senator Efraim Filho, according to Portal Metrópoles.

The chosen one was the president of Serra Branca Esporte Clube, Michel Alexandre, who left his position as commercial manager of the betting house to take over the presidency of the Club in 2022. However, at the end of last June, Michel gave up command of the group to dedicate himself exclusively to his campaign.

Michel Alexandre received the title of citizen of Serra Branca from the city’s City Council in December 2023. Incidentally, Serra Branca is the city where Pixbet’s president, Ernildo Junior, was born.

Pixbet is the master sponsor of Serra Branca, a club that is currently in the first division of the Paraibano Championship. The team was re-founded in 2022 and was previously called Paraíba Sport Clube. Since it was re-founded, the team has been doing well in the state championship and has the experienced striker Marcelo Toscano in its squad.

Furthermore, the bookmaker is among the largest commercial agreements in Brazilian football in its partnership with Flamengo. Recently, the expansion of the sponsorship between Flamengo and Pixbet was approved by Flamengo’s Deliberative Council. The new partnership extends until 2027, when the bookmaker will continue as the master sponsor of the Rio de Janeiro team.

The new contract is the largest in the history of the Rio de Janeiro team and will yield around R$470 million during the partnership period. The vote to approve the extension of the contract ended with a score of 136 to 2 and already this season, the retroactive value of the contract will be worth R$105 million and in 2025 it will reach R$125 million, as well as in 2026 and 2027.
