Brazil: Sponsor Notifies Corinthians of Contract Termination

Brazil – April 23, 2025 | www.zonadeazar.com The reason for Viva Sorte’s termination of the contract was the discontinuation of the capitalization bond “Viva Timão.” According to the company, this was a requirement from the Superintendence of Private Insurance (Susep), which did not authorize the commercialization of products bearing the names of institutions other than the one proposing them.

This bond will be terminated on the 27th of this month. Therefore, the team is expected to take the field on Thursday, against Racing-URU for the Copa Sudamericana, still wearing the brand on the shoulder of the uniform.

Maintaining the sponsorship with the “Viva Sorte” brand is not possible, since the company also operates in the sports betting sector, which would create a conflict of interest with “Esportes da Sorte,” Corinthians’ master sponsor.

With the end of this sponsorship, Corinthians will now have seven sponsors on their uniform, in addition to Nike, the official sportswear supplier.

For 2025, the club projects revenue of R$212 million from advertisers, which would represent a record in the club’s history.

Now, the men’s team jersey will have three vacant spots: in addition to the shoulders, the board is trying to negotiate the front hem of the shirt and the front of the shorts.
