Argentina.- March 18 2025 www.zonadeazar.com The Chamber of Deputies of Entre Ríos will resume, as from March 19, the debate in commissions of bills related to the regulation of online gambling in such Argentinean province, as well as to the prevention of compulsive gambling and problem gambling, especially among minors.
According to local media, one of the initiatives to be discussed will be the one presented by Congresswoman Carolina Streitenberger, which provides for control and security measures to access iGaming platforms, such as a biometric registry and the implementation of a Provincial Registry of People with Pathological Gambling (RPPL).
The bill also seeks to oblige online operators to include warnings about the harmful effects of problem gambling at the time of logging in and in all their advertisements, both in digital and traditional media, images and legends.
Like other projects, this initiative proposes the creation of the Provincial Program of Prevention against Online Gambling, which will be implemented in the educational environment, aimed at high school students.
Meanwhile, Deputy Carlos Damasco has presented another bill to create the Provincial Registry of Online Gamblers, which will seek to certify the age and identity of gamblers, in order to prevent access by minors.
The debate of both bills is in addition to the discussion of an initiative of Senator Juan Cosso, which was approved by the Senate of Entre Ríos in June 2024 and which proposes the creation of a preventive campaign aimed at children and adolescents on the risks of gambling through online betting.
