Brazil: BetMGM Moves to Acquire Bingão do Brasil

Brazil.- June 16, 2026 www.zonadeazar.com  BetMGM Brazil has submitted a filing to Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) seeking approval to acquire 100% of Bingão do Brasil, a company focused on the development of online video bingo products. The transaction is part of BetMGM’s expansion strategy in Brazil’s regulated gaming market.

Details

The acquisition will be carried out through Boa Lion, the joint venture established by MGM Resorts International and Grupo Globo to operate BetMGM in Brazil.

According to documents submitted to regulators, Bingão do Brasil is focused on video bingo solutions and is not currently active in the sports betting sector.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, and the deal remains subject to CADE approval.

Brazil continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s most attractive regulated online gaming markets following the implementation of its federal regulatory framework.

Since regulation came into effect, several international operators have accelerated their investment and expansion plans through acquisitions, strategic partnerships and technology development initiatives.
