Zona de Azar Brasil – Brazil: New Dates for the Lote Leste and São Paulo Lottery Auctions
Brazil – October 18, 2024 – www.zonadeazar.com The Secretariat of Partnerships and Investments (SPI) announced this Wednesday (October 16) the new dates for the auctions of New Schools (Lote Leste) and the São Paulo State Lotteries.
The public sessions for the Lote Oeste Schools and Sorocabana Route will continue as scheduled on October 29 and 30, respectively.
Changes Impacting the Lottery Sector
Regarding lottery services, the International Bid No. 01/2024, which addresses the concession of these services, has been modified. Originally scheduled for October 28, it will now take place on November 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at B3.
The new date for submitting envelopes has been moved up to October 28, between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The concession project includes five lottery modalities:
- Specific Prognostics
- Sports Prognostics
- Numerical Prognostics
- Instant
- Passive
This means that the state will be able to offer these modalities both in physical locations and online, expanding options for all citizens.
Additionally, the winning company will be responsible for setting up at least 31 points of sale, exclusively selling the concession’s products in various administrative regions.
Expected Investments and Returns
The expected investments for this project include systems for managing and operating lottery modalities. The government will require international certifications to ensure security and integrity. It is important to note that participation in these games will be restricted to individuals over 18 years old.
The expected revenue from grants over the next 15 years is R$ 3.4 billion, with the funds allocated to public health. Therefore, the minimum bid for the auction has been set at R$ 260 million, highlighting the revenue potential that the lottery service concession can generate for the state.
With these changes, both school and lottery auctions become an important alternative for revenue generation and infrastructure development in the state. These initiatives are expected to contribute not only to education but also to public health.
