Zona de Azar Brasil – With Projection on Christ the Redeemer, Volleyball Uniforms are Presented

Brazil.- July 1, 2024  www.zonadeazar.com  The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) presented the court and beach uniforms for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, at an event at the Cristo Redentor Sanctuary, in Rio de Janeiro. In partnership with Bodywork, a sports brand from Riachuelo, the models amplify the strength of Brazilian talent.

Held on “Volley Day”, the event celebrated the history of the sport that has already brought 24 Olympic medals to Brazil, with 13 on the beach and 11 on the court, bringing together stars from different generations and honoring the 40th anniversary of Brazil’s first medal and the two-time women’s team championship.

Four Olympic medalists were the first to wear the pieces: Bruno Schmidt (gold on the beach in Rio 2016), Juliana (bronze on the beach in London 2012), Tande (gold on the court in Barcelona 1992) and Virna (bronze on the court in Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000).

“We are 30 days away from the Paris Olympic Games. The final stretch of a journey that, for CBV, began as soon as the Olympic flame went out in Tokyo. Brazilian volleyball will once again be among the greatest on the planet. We ranked the two court selections. And four beach volleyball pairs, the maximum number that a country can take to the event” commented Radamés Lattari, president of CBV.

“And we will be very well dressed! Bodywork I Riachuelo developed a uniform that will amplify the strength of our athletes’ talent. A uniform that focuses on sustainability, one of the most important issues in Brazilian volleyball today. But above all, a uniform that values our Olympic history.

A story that began 60 years ago, with volleyball’s first participation in the Tokyo Games. It was consolidated 40 years ago, with the victory of the first Olympic medal in Brazilian volleyball, by the fantastic Silver Generation. And it continues to this day, with achievements such as the two-time Olympic championship for the women’s team, which was once again remembered and celebrated”, added Radamés.

The uniforms bring references to Brazil and French fashion, such as diamond prints on the front, referring to the Brazilian flag and Art Deco, a Parisian movement from 1924. To form the geometric designs, the graphics have 20 intersecting lines. times, referring to the year 2024.

On the indoor volleyball pieces, each player’s identification number and the polo collar were inspired by the uniforms of the 80s and 90s. On the inside of the collar, the phrase “Contains 40 years of Olympic achievements” celebrates the achievement of the Silver Generation in 1984.

“The silver generation of 84 was the main inspiration for creating the t-shirt model developed especially for the Paris Games.

We looked in the past for symbols that represented the strength of our team and that triggered many achievements in Brazilian volleyball, without forgetting to pay homage to the host country, which this year celebrates 100 years since the last Olympic Games in France.”, says Camila de Paula Souza, Style Manager at BodyWork I Riachuelo.
