Brazil.- July 11, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com  The Civil Police is advancing the investigation into the transfer of Vaidebet’s sponsorship to Corinthians. The main line of investigation involves the companies Rede Social Media Design Ltda., owned by Alex Cassundé, and Neoway Soluções Integradas em Serviços Ltda., owned by Edna de Oliveira.

The Court must decide on the requests for breach of banking secrecy by these companies, with data expected by Friday (12).

This information is essential to define the next steps and identify the next people summoned to testify. The police already have some preliminary certainties, such as the absence of intermediation in sponsorship.

Among the names cited for testimony are Rozalah Santoro, former financial director, and Rodrigo Yun Lee, former legal director of Corinthians.

Armando Mendonça, vice-president of the club, testified last Thursday (4) as a witness. He denied having conducted a parallel investigation, but confirmed hiring a private detective to investigate Neoway.

Armando Mendonça highlighted the urgent need for an internal investigation at the club. He stated: “As vice president, I demand and expect that the matter that the media is reporting, that the intermediary stated that there was no intermediation, be immediately investigated.

This is extremely serious. In several podcasts and press conferences, we heard that the commission amount was negotiated, varying from 20% to 5%, 10% and 7%.

According to the media, Alex claims that he never negotiated anything. This is very serious.”

Corinthians and VaideBet are being investigated for a possible fraud scandal in sponsorship transfers. The São Paulo Civil Police identified companies suspected of being “orange”, linked to Neoway, which brokered the agreement.

The suspicious companies are Carvalho Distribuidora, ACJ Platform Comércios e Serviços, and Thabs Gestão e Serviços. Created in 2023, these companies have similar characteristics to Neoway and partners who receive social benefits.

The investigation suggests a possible misuse of commission, which resulted in the termination of the contract between the bookmaker and the football club.
