Malta.- August 06, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The Malta Football Association (FA) has announced a multi-year partnership with online sports betting and gaming group Meridianbet Group.

At the heart of the agreement, Meridianbet will become the title sponsor of the Maltese FA Trophy, one of the country’s most prestigious football competitions. The Malta FA said that the partnership aims to “foster positive social change and champion national pride”.

Stefan Pavlovic, Director of Meridian Gaming Ltd, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with the Malta FA as the title sponsor of the Maltese FA Trophy. With our 17-year presence in Malta, we have consistently strived to give back to the community. This sponsorship not only supports the growth of football at all levels but also reinforces our ongoing initiatives.”

Meridianbet Group, established in 2001, is an online sports betting and gaming company, operating in 18 countries across Europe, Africa and South America. It is part of the Golden Matrix Group and has a long history In Malta, conducting both B2C and B2B operations in the country.

The sports betting firm has a history of sponsoring sports. Last year, the company signed a deal with Serbian basketball team KK Crvena zvezda, which was described at the time as the largest sponsorship ever secured by a private company in the history of Serbian Basketball.
