Zona de Azar UK – William Hill Q1 Results Better than Expected

UK.- May 18, 2020 www.zonadeazar.com William Hill the UK based gambling giant announced its results for the first quarter of 2020 and although revenues were down by 57% they were not as bad as expected.

The betting firm said that from the 11th March and the 28th April the companies retail betting offices saw a decline of 85%, along with online revenues slumping 33%.
However the figures were less than analyst’s had predicted and the companies shares actually rose by 10% on the news.
Indeed according to William Hill their customers were offered alternative betting avenues such as table tennis, emerging market football and gaming. This along with seeing a rise of 5% in revenues for its US online gambling division helped William Hill.
In another announcement from the betting giant it said that it was planning to stage a gradual re-opening of its UK betting retail business in the second half of 2020. While closed the company said retail was taking some £12-£15 million away from its revenues each month.
