Zona de Azar España – Codere Online Elects New President and Members for the Board of Directors

Spain – July 1, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Codere Online has appointed three members to the company’s Board of Directors. The brand, which operates primarily in Spain and Latin America and European Union markets, has hired Gabriel Sáenz de Buruaga, Taavi Davies and Claude Noesen for an initial one-year term.

In an official statement, the new members of the Codere Online Board of Directors will replace former directors Patrick Ramsey, Michal Elimelech and Laurent Teitgen.

Gonzaga Higuero, CEO of Grupo Codere, said: “We welcome these new additions to the Board and look forward to working with them to build on the important progress made by the company in recent years.”

Higuero, who was also re-elected director and will serve as Chairman of the Board from now on, added: “I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Pat for his valuable contribution and dedication as Chairman since Codere Online went public in 2021. I am excited to have him join me on the Board at New Topco, following the recently announced recapitalization and looking to a promising future.”

The appointment of Claude Noesen as a member of the Audit Committee was approved at the Board of Directors meeting last week. Borja Fernández and Daniel Valdez will continue to work as president and member, respectively.

On the Compliance Committee, Mark Dunn was selected as chair and Taavi Davies as a member. Rafael Catalá and Yaiza Rodríguez will continue as members.

Codere Online recently spoke with SBC Noticias, the sister site of SBC Notícias Brasil, about how the brand is leveraging the sports sponsorship portfolio it has to continue driving the company’s growth in Spanish-speaking markets, following the recent agreement update with Rayados.
