SAGSE Paraguay 2026 Adds Technical Training for Casino Floor Staff

The activity will take place on 6 August, during the event’s second day, at the Acaray Hotel Casino & Convention Center in Ciudad del Este.

The session will run from 9:00 to 12:00 in a theoretical and practical format designed to provide tools for everyday casino-floor operations. Topics will include online systems, machine connectivity, technical controls, ticket validation, communication protocols and operational best practices.
A central part of the programme will examine how gaming machines connect to online casino systems. The training will cover the historical development of protocols used by different manufacturers, the technical characteristics of current systems and implementation levels including accounting, TITO and cashless solutions.
Participants will also review the data required for a slot machine to connect correctly, ticket-validation methods, communication structures between machines and systems, and the precautions required before installation. Technical content will include RS232, TTL, RS485 and current-loop connections.
The technical presentation will be led by Daniel Placeres, Manager at Sielcon, who will also cover the use of testing equipment to take measurements, identify faults and improve responses to operational problems.
Industry Context
The initiative broadens SAGSE Paraguay’s educational offering beyond its executive, commercial and regulatory agenda. It recognises the importance of the teams responsible for daily casino operations and highlights the responsibility involved in adjusting, controlling and maintaining gaming machines.
A technical lunch will follow the training, providing an operational networking space for casino teams, suppliers, specialists and other industry participants.
Next Steps or Impact
The programme will begin at 8:30 with registration and a welcome coffee. After the conferences and closing lunch, attendees will receive participation certificates and enter special draws for oscilloscope, tool and screwdriver kits. SAGSE Paraguay 2026 will run from 5 to 7 August in Ciudad del Este.
