Neymar Enters R$25,000 Buy-In Poker Tournament

Brazil.- 23 July 2026 www.zonadeazar.com Neymar took part in an exclusive BSOP Winter 2026 poker tournament while sitting out Santos’ Copa Sudamericana fixture. The São Paulo competition featured a R$25,000 buy-in.

The Brazilian forward used the break granted by Santos’ coaching staff to compete in an invitation-only poker tournament held at the WTC Sheraton in São Paulo on Tuesday evening, 21 July.

The competition formed part of BSOP Winter 2026, the fourth stage of the Brazilian poker championship season, which will continue until 30 July.

R$25,000 Buy-In and 200,000 Starting Chips

Each participant began the tournament with 200,000 chips and paid a R$25,000 buy-in.

Neymar moved into the chip lead after winning an all-in hand against Léo Rizzo. The forward celebrated the result as he collected the pot.

BSOP Winter brings together professional and amateur players, as well as athletes, businesspeople, celebrities and influencers. Its schedule includes tournaments with buy-ins ranging from R$500 to R$100,000.

Neymar Rested by Santos

Neymar did not travel to Venezuela for Santos’ Copa Sudamericana match against Universidad Central, which the Brazilian side won 4–1.

The forward was rested by the coaching staff because of Santos’ demanding schedule, with four matches due to be played within ten days.

Neymar’s participation in poker tournaments is not unusual. The footballer has competed in several live and online events, becoming one of the world’s most prominent sporting figures associated with the game.
