Brazil: Caixa Revokes 20 Lottery Retail Permits in June
Brazil.- 23 July 2026 www.zonadeazar.com Caixa Econômica Federal revoked the permits of 20 lottery retail outlets during June 2026. Three cancellations were voluntary, while the remaining 17 resulted from administrative procedures.
The decisions were published in Brazil’s Official Gazette and affect establishments located across ten states.
The three voluntary revocations relate to outlets in Boa Vista, Roraima; Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul; and Campina Grande do Sul, Paraná.
São Paulo and Paraná Recorded the Most Revocations
São Paulo and Paraná registered four cancellations each. Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais recorded two revocations per state.
Outlets in Amazonas, Paraíba, Roraima, Rio Grande do Norte, Mato Grosso do Sul and Pará were also affected, with one revocation in each jurisdiction.
The compulsory cancellations were conducted under the Administrative Sanctions System established by Caixa Circular No. 1,084/2025.
84 Permits Revoked During 2026
Caixa revoked a total of 84 lottery retail permits during the first six months of 2026.
The monthly distribution was:
- January: 23 permits.
- February: 11 permits.
- March: 10 permits.
- April: 6 permits.
- May: 14 permits.
- June: 20 permits.
For comparison, 162 compulsory permit revocations were recorded during 2025.
Network Comprises 12,966 Outlets
Caixa’s first-quarter 2026 report stated that its lottery retail network comprised 12,966 establishments.
This represents a reduction of 149 outlets compared with the same period in 2025.
Authorised outlets sell lottery products administered by Caixa and provide various financial and customer services throughout Brazil.
