Flutter Extends Support for Leeds Rhinos Foundation
United Kingdom.- 29 July 2026 www.zonadeazar.com Flutter Entertainment has extended its partnership with Leeds Rhinos Foundation for another year and increased its financial contribution from GBP 25,000 to GBP 36,000 to support community health and wellbeing programmes across the city.
The funding will maintain specialist services for people living with long-term health conditions and introduce a new free initiative intended to improve adult health, physical activity and lifestyle habits.

The partnership will support approximately 180 people through five programmes: Motivate, the Parkinson’s Physical Activity Programme, the In Touch Dementia Support Group, the Reminiscence Café and the newly created Try Club.
Motivate is a 12-week initiative endorsed by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Rheumatology Department for people living with rheumatoid arthritis. The Parkinson’s programme delivers weekly physical activity throughout the year, while In Touch and the Reminiscence Café provide advice, social connections and specialist support for people living with dementia and their families.
Try Club will be a free 12-week programme delivered by qualified health professionals and the Leeds Rhinos Foundation health team. It will combine classroom learning with physical activity sessions on the pitch to support weight management and sustainable lifestyle changes.
Industry Context
Flutter provided GBP 25,000 in 2025 to prevent the closure of four community programmes facing funding difficulties. That original contribution allowed approximately 145 people to retain access to activities supporting those affected by dementia, Parkinson’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
The relationship is also supported by Flutter’s substantial presence in Leeds, where the group employs more than 1,700 people, and by Sky Bet’s existing connection with the Leeds Rhinos Netball team.
Leeds Rhinos Foundation is the official charity of rugby league club Leeds Rhinos and has worked for more than 20 years to improve health, inclusion and community participation through sport.

Leeds Rhinos Foundation Head of Partnerships and Development Dan Busfield said the increased support would allow the organisation to continue delivering its existing services to 120 people while launching Try Club for additional participants.
Busfield added that several of the programmes would not be possible without Flutter’s financial assistance.
Paul McCormick, Chief Technology Officer at Flutter International and senior business sponsor for charitable initiatives at the company’s Leeds office, said Flutter wanted to support projects producing a tangible impact in communities where its employees live and work.
Next Steps or Impact
During the renewed partnership, Leeds Rhinos Foundation will seek to increase participation to 180 beneficiaries and assess the physical, social and health outcomes produced by the different programmes.
The agreement forms part of Do More, a pillar of Flutter’s Positive Impact Plan through which the group aims to improve the lives of 10 million people by 2030.
Flutter employees are also entitled to two full volunteering days, allowing the financial contribution to be complemented by direct involvement in community activities across Leeds.
