Banijay Gaming Appoints Antoine Jouteau as New CEO
France.- 30 July 2026 www.zonadeazar.com Banijay Gaming has appointed Antoine Jouteau as its new chief executive officer, adding a senior leader with extensive experience in digital platforms, technological transformation and the expansion of consumer-facing businesses.
Jouteau will assume executive management of the betting and gaming group, while Betclic founder Nicolas Béraud will continue to serve as Chairman of Banijay Gaming.
News Details
The new CEO joins Banijay Gaming following a long career with Adevinta and leboncoin, where he held several leadership positions over a period of 16 years.
Jouteau joined leboncoin in 2009, when the business was still at an early stage of development, and subsequently led the platform for more than a decade. During that period, the company grew to approximately 30 million unique visitors and became one of France’s leading digital platforms.
He was appointed CEO of European online-classifieds group Adevinta in August 2022, having previously overseen leboncoin’s commercial growth, technology transformation and expansion.
Industry Context
The appointment comes during a period of significant transformation for Banijay Gaming. In April 2026, Banijay Group completed its acquisition of a majority interest in Tipico, creating a European platform bringing together Betclic, Tipico and Admiral.
The transaction gave Banijay Group an initial 65% interest in the enlarged business and strengthened its position across Germany, France, Portugal, Austria, Poland and Côte d’Ivoire. On a proforma basis, the operation would have generated approximately EUR 3.1 billion in revenue during 2025.
Banijay Gaming has also agreed to acquire JOA, France’s second-largest land-based casino operator, which operates 33 properties, generated EUR 430 million in gross revenue in 2025 and welcomes more than 4.6 million customers annually. Completion remains subject to the relevant approvals.
Next Steps or Impact
Jouteau’s principal challenge will be to integrate businesses with different operating profiles into a single strategy covering online sports betting, digital casino, land-based gaming and nationally established brands.
His experience in digital platforms, artificial intelligence, product, data and business scaling could support the development of a more integrated customer experience across online and physical channels.
The new CEO will also need to coordinate the activities of Betclic, Tipico and Admiral, prepare for the potential addition of JOA and maintain growth across regulated European markets amid higher taxation, stricter player-protection requirements and increasing competition.
