The meeting took place on 17 September 2026 at Memorial Corinthians.
Its purpose was to guide players and staff on expected conduct both on and off the court and provide practical tools for identifying situations that could compromise competitive integrity.
Integrity and Compliance Leadership
The session was led by:
- Ricardo Torrado, Corinthians’ Integrity and ESG Manager.
- Nilo Patussi, the club’s Compliance Officer.
Both outlined internal integrity procedures and the mechanisms available for responding to potentially improper conduct.
Match Manipulation
Match-fixing risks formed one of the central themes.
The programme examined how improper approaches towards players or other professionals can occur and reinforced the importance of identifying and reporting attempts to influence sporting outcomes.
Sports Betting
The relationship between professional sport and betting was also discussed.
As wagering markets expand, clubs increasingly need athletes and staff to understand risks around privileged information, prohibited behaviour and attempts to manipulate events.

IBIA recorded 76 suspicious betting alerts across nine sports during Q2 2026.
Football accounted for 25 alerts and esports for 16, followed by basketball with ten.
An alert does not itself confirm manipulation and figures can be revised as investigations progress.
South American Exposure
Around 22% of the quarter’s global alerts were linked to sporting events in South America.
The ten basketball alerts involved events held in Paraguay, Colombia, Venezuela and the Philippines.
