According to Spillemyndigheden Director Anders Dorph, sports streaming currently remains an ancillary feature offered by betting operators and is therefore not subject to the same advertising restrictions that apply to broadcasters.
However, Dorph explained that this assessment could change if operators substantially expand their sports rights portfolios or develop streaming services that compete directly with television and digital broadcasters. In such circumstances, additional regulatory obligations could be introduced.
