Fanatics and Momentum Launch UAE Gaming Joint Venture
United Arab Emirates.- 29 June 2026 www.zonadeazar.com Momentum Group and Fanatics have launched a joint venture to operate and expand commercial gaming activities in the United Arab Emirates, combining Momentum’s local licences with Fanatics’ product and technology capabilities.

The agreement includes Momentum’s current licensed operations, including the UAE Lottery and commercial gaming platform Play971. The GCGRA has already approved the change of control for the licensed entities.
Fanatics will contribute its US gaming technology, product expertise and scaling experience, while both partners will invest in customer experience, responsible gaming and player protection.
Industry Context
Momentum won the tender to operate the UAE Lottery in July 2024, with the product launching in December. In November 2025, Play971 became the UAE’s first fully licensed iGaming business, later adding sports and race betting in June 2026.
For Fanatics, the partnership represents its first gaming expansion outside the United States.
